How Offendable Are You?

With the current state of affairs globally and right here in the United States, citizens are growing weary as control over their lives diminish. As governments attempt to control economies our leaders are being overwhelmed with crisis management. These and many other factors are setting all of us up for a major meltdown all across the globe.

Heavy lies the crown

Personal Incomes are being negatively affected, small businesses are dropping like flies and people are worried. Worry is real. It affects how we respond and make decisions. When we are unaware of our intuitive responses to stress oftentimes these tensions force behaviors that can be hurtful to others and derail career and family momentum.

“Like the captain of a ship, you are responsible for the overall well-being of the organization and its people. The decisions you make will directly impact the team and could have positive or negative results. You need each team member operating at their best to complete the mission; understand that people will respond at their own pace and experience different challenges that may hinder their performance.”

Brad Miller Ph.D. and contributing writer at DISC Insights

Without the depth of understanding how “you” respond in “stress”, you might very well be tossing a match on a truckload of gasoline. As a leader, you have the responsibility to seek knowledge and understanding of how behavioral patterns can affect outcomes.

Conclusion

As leaders, we must be in a constant state of awareness and be able to respond quickly to stress reactions from our TEAM (and ourselves) in order for each individual or division to maintain control over their departmental “Rudders”
